Narrow Path New Beginnings
House Guidelines

Clear Expectations. Real Support.

Structure is not punishment — it is the scaffolding that allows new habits, renewed confidence, and lifelong sobriety to take root.

Why Rules Matter

Built for Accountability, Community, and Lasting Change

Every resident arrives with a unique story, but all share the common goal of rebuilding life upon solid ground. Our house expectations exist so every resident can sleep peacefully, stay focused, and achieve their goals without fear or chaos.

100% Sobriety Policy

Zero tolerance for drugs, alcohol, or unauthorized prescription substances on or off premises.

  • Random and scheduled drug & alcohol screenings
  • Immediate safety protocols for relapse

Structured Curfews

Predictable routines protect peaceful sleep and healthy sleep cycles for working residents.

  • Weekday curfew: 10:00 PM
  • Weekend curfew: 11:00 PM (or approved work pass)

Active Recovery Program

Sustained sobriety requires continuous connection with community and peer recovery.

  • Attend weekly recovery meetings (AA, NA, Celebrate Recovery, or SMART)
  • Work with a sponsor or certified peer mentor

Household Contribution

Taking pride in shared living spaces reinforces accountability and mutual respect.

  • Assigned daily/weekly chore rotations
  • Clean bedroom and shared kitchen cleanup after each use

Productive Daily Pursuit

Residents are encouraged and supported to build long-term self-sufficiency.

  • Maintain employment, vocational training, education, or approved service
  • Weekly progress check-in with house manager

Mutual Dignity & Respect

A conflict-free, encouraging atmosphere where every person feels welcomed and secure.

  • No violence, harassment, theft, or weapons
  • Respect for quiet hours and roommates' privacy
